They should get on with it then. Running out of time imo.
Wow. That should result in a lot of Republicans staying home or voting “none of the above”.
Things change too fast in politics to drop it all a month out from Election Day.
Was the “grab ‘em by the p*ssy” leaked too early or too late?
saw this story today.
That should seal up GA for Dems.
Walker was already a terrible candidate. This story will just remind everyone that is the case. I would bet all R dollars are quickly redirected to PA now, which just became must win.
OZ is a terrible candidate too, but race is much closer than it should be.
I wont argue with that.
but in PA, they can run against Fetterman, who is struggling down the stretch.
and OZ is not great, but currently is not involved in a campaign ending scandal.
If you click the date in the email it takes you to the post
Should.
I still think it is 50/50, at best.
Will depend on turnout, as always.
They were never voting for Walker, it was always just a vote for the cult.
Agree, but I bet this dampens enthusiasm and causes some of the party faithful to stay home when they might have gotten their butts to the polls for a better candidate.
It’s certainly not transforming Walker votes into Warnock votes. But affecting turnout matters too.
They should have outside messaging that “A vote for Walker is a vote for an abortionist”. Not from the campaign, places like The Lincoln Project.
Shamelessly poached from elsewhere:
People say that Walker paying for his girlfriend’s abortion when he claims abortion is murder makes him a hypocrite. But he actually threatened to murder other members of his family who had already been born. So the claims of hypocrisy don’t add up.
I strongly disagree.
I doubt there is a single voter where this was thing that made them finally decide to not vote for Walker, or really any of the information coming out this month would sway them.
I woukd strongly assert that someone voting for Walker as of 10/1/22 will vote for him no matter what. Only thing he could do to lose their vote would be to attack Trump, and even that is questionable.
Sadly, people that already planned to vote for a violent moron are unlikely to be swayed by any of the recent news. It may even increase his poll numbers.
Hershel Walker is what a significant number of Republicans think a black man sounds like. He is their proof to justify their belief.
I suspect he was put forward as “we can’t beat them (insert derogatory term) 'cause they’re too many of them so we’ll give them one of their own.” (see note)
Note: The sentiments of the above were related to me by one of my always R voting acquaintances. Take it for what you will.
I doubt that it changes very many people’s conscious decision.
But when they never got around to early voting and it’s Election Day and they were planning to leave early and vote on their way to work… they’re now more likely to hit snooze on their phone’s alarm and convince themselves they’ll vote after work on the way home. But on the way home when they’re hungry and they also need to stop at the store for toilet paper… f—- it, one vote isn’t going to affect anything.
to the walker campaign:
it was a 50/50 race.
just losing a few % ends it.
unless warnock falls on his face, this is over.
and honestly a lot of Rs can be relived. We all knew this guy had no business being a Senator.
And “Grab ‘em by the pussy” was supposed to end someone else’s campaign but did not.
This same sentiment would have existed before this news of this week and is not anymore likely now than it was before.
