I got the rest by 28, but it took me a while to get the Euclidean. As they note in the article, it is “simply two-dimensional space” as far as I’m concerned (unless otherwise stated). I was looking for something … more.

early cheat, I knew where & when, but didn’t know the term

Also cheated. It took me a while to get to ‘art,’ and then I managed to figure out whatever it was came before baroque, and I tried the other five words I know related to art and it wasn’t one. I wouldn’t have ever gotten this one.

Yeah, I cheated after I got that it was an art movement, and I wouldn’t know its name

‘Machine’ was my third guess. Went through food and agriculture, more heavy equipment type words, sprinkled in some filler words here and there. Punched in a few centuries to get the time frame. Finally guessed ‘clothing’ at 65.

I saw combination and was thinking of locks and knots for a while. The first real progress was at forward, up, down, back. A few hits got me to machine and then sewing was the first word I thought of.

I had machine and first industrial revelation. I was afraid it would be something no longer in modern use because I couldn’t think of a modern device at first with “machine” in its name.

got hung up on India, but was the only 4 letter language I could think of in the area

I got language at 45, then the rest was trying to narrow it down, going through countries and languages. I’m surprised I didn’t think of it earlier because of the length. But I got Asia, then worked my way back from the east.

I also got hung up on India, and I could see that millions of something did something with the thing. Food? Religion? Money? Jeez.
ARGH

The stupid bit – I had google maps open, and was trying out all sorts of place names. I didn’t realize it was a frickin LANGUAGE. I know this one! I didn’t have to cheat for the name of the language!
Oh, I broke out the map, too.

‘European Food Safety’ (capitalized) really screwed me up. I finally got black and figured out ‘black widow spider,’ and eventually ‘snake,’ and that was enough but it still took me a dozen guesses.

I beat PZ! (in patience)
I gave up at 222. I never did get the poison part, just the naturally occurring organic part. And I’d already seen MSG in there, so I think that kept me from thinking poison. I’d never considered that there might be a “these aren’t toxins” section.
1, 100%. I saw a LOT of decimals running around, and they give you ‘in,’ so I knew inches was in there. And I could see how ‘unit of length’ could fit in to the first sentence, and the answer was a short word. I wasn’t 100% convinced that was it but it felt right.
