I tried ‘reproduction’ at guess 20, which got zero hits, so that threw me off, until I saw a short word that I thought was ‘egg,’ and I was right. That put me back towards reproduction and ended it quickly.

Very fast considering I used up the first 26 words as standard filler words. My 27th was pretty spot on - conception - which seemed to me like a likely choice in the 3rd paragraph. 28th was fetus and after a few other guesses, I got that the topic was whatever it was called before the ninth week, which 1) I just hadn’t realized changed name at a particular time 2) still took me a bit to remember.

Cheated. Figured out where the islands were with fair precision, tried out some random guesses, finally whipped out the map. Not familiar with these islands.

I had to look at a map too. I didn’t even get to island/islands until 184/186. I know Canada has islands named after members of the royal family. I got hits for Prince, William, King. If I had just guessed Queen instead, I would have got it on my own.

I cheated using Google Maps in the end and agree - I’ve never heard of it. It took me far too long because I got Antarctica in the 1st paragraph before really narrowing it down at all and so spent almost the entire time entering south pole info I knew and thinking about the south pole. The funny thing is I also tried arctic about the same time as antarctica, but, having already seen antarctica, I’d misplaced it my head.

Funny coincidence. I watched a travel YouTube video today of a cruise to the Arctic. They showed a map of the route, Queen Liz Islands were clearly labeled.

I should have gotten it sooner, but I guessed Versailles at 67 but dropped the -s. Something told me though to try again and I spelled it right at 81. Also, literally 14 of my guesses were trying to determine the correct King Louis.

I went for xiv from the start - both because he was by far the most famous (I think) and because it looked like it was 3 letters.
