Panda?
A quick interwebz search tells me only some zebra mat is commercially available and the others are not.
Hey!!! ![]()
Donāt you have a good penguin/zebra/panda meat place nearby???
My guy got pinched. Itās all black market stuff.
Giraffe and zebra were on The Carnivoreās menu in Nairobi when I dined there in thr 1980s. I only sampled crocodile, wildebeast and a few other hoofed animals. They were tasty
Panda Express. Duh.
Djokovik vs Alcaraz final at the Aussie is going to be an epic game tomorrow morning (UK time). Canāt wait to watch it.
Making some brownies to break my no-sugar fast at midnight. Theyāre Ghirardelli.
This might be djokerās last chance to be the outright leader of grand slam singles titles (currently tied with Margaret Court on 24). The last couple of years when heās played Alcaraz or Sinner in the semis or the final heās been worn out by the previous matches. This time heās had an easier path -walkover in the fourth round and a retirement after two sets in the QFs.
Alacaraz thoroughly outplayed him. Youngest ever player now for Career Grand Slam at 22.
out the front and out the back. thereās just a path through the ice that is frozen over. behind itās not open water. it seems that the ferry just breaks up the ice and it refreezes quickly again behind the boat.
Brings back memories of my student days skating from Kingston to Wolfe Island but always being mindful of not getting too close to the ferry.
What was more exciting was riding the April ice flows in the St. Lawrence River and jumping from block to block. How could we have been so stupid? Exam pressure?
I think Meep refers to that as āthe stupid period.ā
I think that pushing boundaries to some extremes is part of being in your 20s
I am just glad that we didnt have social media to record it all in the early to mid 90s because my list is really longā¦..and younger people these days really get excoriated/cancelled for taking similar risks.
I think this is going to start happening in many more popular places all over Europe. The congestion is really bad in the summer.
Europe has always been a popular tourist destination but I am blown away by how much more crowded it has become in the last few decades versus 50 years ago. And, of course, the āmust-seeā sights are totally overrun.
The only advice I give travellers is to also seek out interesting spots that the first time travellers might not get to. We spent an absolutely delightful half day at the MusĆ©e dāOrsay when in Paris last August: probably more interesting than any section of the Louvre.
100% this. Did I see the Trevi Fountain in Rome? Sure, and boy was it crowded. But a lot of what we enjoyed in Rome (and other places) are the sort of second-tier attractions, and just ambling down random streets where few tourists go - which, you know, only requires going a couple of blocks.
