worst liarâs poker bill ever
After months of switching out cords in my desk so I can charge my phone, I remembered I have a wireless charging station in the desk. But thatâs also where I usually put the mousepad. And I guess I could rearrange everything to make it more accessible, but that seems like work.
If you fly on delta and youâre in main 2 you donât have to wait for them to call your zone. You can sneak in with the main 1 suckers.
While walking the dog, I had someone pull their car up to the curb to me to ask for directions. In the age of smartphones, itâs been a long time since someone asked me for detailed driving directions. They werenât near their destination at all (4-5 miles on surface streets). Took me a minute to think of a route with few enough turns that they might successfully be able to follow and find their spot.
I know of some who have âconnectivityâ for Wi-Fi only (they donât buy the âdataâ).
Itâs also possible that they have a plan with limited data and theyâve used it all up already.
Or itâs a grad student doing research
Or a contestant on The Amazing Race. Were there 4 people in the car, one with a camera and another with sound equipment? Were they in a big hurry?
Thereâs also a chance they were hoping youâd take out a phone that they could swipe from you.
Swiper no swiping
Possibly, but I think quite remote based on the situation. They were in their car, I was more than arms length away with a big dog that was acting a bit wary about the situation
I remember Ebaying $1 bills with Double 3 pairs, 4, 5, and 6 of the same serial #'s. Made some good money on each
Somehow I wound up on a subreddit for currency collectors. I was astonished that bills with interesting serial numbers can fetch some decent money. Bills with very, very low serial numbers seemed especially of interest. Maybe I should go through my wallet!
Unflavored < > flavorless
I thought being an adult was going to be was easier.
My Member of Parliament can send mail postage-free, but I hafta pay good money if I want to mail something. Thatâs democracy for you!!!
I was walking down the sidewalk with the dog when I heard a loud crash right behind me. When I turned around, I saw that a huge section of an ancient oak had fallen on the sidewalk and adjacent yard. We just walked under that thing seconds before, and would have been smashed.
i was biking on the shoulder of US6 east of Lincoln. crusing along i hear a bang and a scraping sound. pickup truck had just passed me and it brakes hard and pulls over. i slow down and look behind to see they had an aluminum ladder fly off the back of the truck and well, i got lucky it missed me.
Itâs no joke. I know two people who were hit by trees falling on them and a third who had a very near miss⌠three unrelated incidents.
One died from his injuries (older, but excellent physical health), one was severely injured but made a mostly full recovery (has some cognitive issues but able to live a normal life) and the one with the near miss was quite shaken up but obviously fine other than that.
