I’ve been in valuation most of my career. In my current role, I’ve also got caught up in some product work. There’s a whole lot more of throwing shit against the wall and seeing what sticks in this stuff than I ever realized.
So this facility is actually part of the practice, like owned by them. It’s actually upstairs from their office. It’s also somehow affiliated with the hospital in that town. But the estimate I received has the name of the practice at the top of the page, and it includes fees for the surgery as well as facility fees. And that’s consistent with what the rep told me on the phone. Anesthesia is separate, and there could be additional unexpected fees, but otherwise this is the bill.
My daughter did not have her surgery at this facility. The facility may be new, or it may be because her surgery was more involved. (She had a metal plate & screws put in her foot.) or maybe because of Covid (it was 2021).
Anyway, I will wait and see if this is really the amount.

For some reason, my ringtone is a turkey gobbling. Seems to annoy my spouse lol, but I’m too much of a boomer to care and change it.
It was pretty funny when I was in the bush with some students and got.a text. They all froze then looked around. ‘did you hear that? There’s a wild turkey here!’ Lol.
