Been careful about not doing too much alcohol around brunch time - really weird to get a hangover at night. Where I live there are blue laws that prohibit buying alcohol before 1pm on Sundays. I think they recently relaxed it for restaurants that can serve alcohol at 11 but when I go grocery shopping on Sundays I prefer the mornings when things are not as crazy and I often forget the laws.
The blue laws might have been lifted here. Not positive, but when I worked at a supermarket in my youth we could not sell alcohol before noon on sunday. It was a stupid and offensive law
Why is zero associated with plural?
I have two cars.
I have one car.
I have zero cars.
Because zero is an even number.

I’m not sure if I’ve ever had the need to, but it seems like I would say “I have negative 1 cars” instead of “negative 1 car”…
For whatever reason, positive 1 is special. Maybe that’s why it’s so lonely…
Some say two is just as bad as one
Why are fractions and decimals treated differently?
I have a quarter pound of sugar. I have 0.25 pounds of sugar.
When someone said to me, “Be the bigger man” I took that literally.
So two cars, three car, four cars?
Or should it be two cars, one car, and then just zero because there are no car/cars to speak of?
On the subject of cars, (car?), we sent in a check to payoff my car early February, my account was subsequently paid off without actually cashing said check, and then March 1st the amount was reversed and I’m back to having a loan again. This could be an annoyed thought and less random.
even numbers are multiples of 2, so this indicates that even numbers are plural.
the same cannot be said for odd numbers.
Or oddsocks, for that matter.

I’m looking forward to April 3 this year.
I usually write my dates in mm/dd/yyyy format but will be certain to use m/d/yy on that day.
Gotta start doing the tax returns soon.
I’ve moved to yyyy/mm/dd. It sorts nicer, and has the added benefit of no confusion with the folks who do dd/mm/yyyy instead of mm/dd/yyyy.
Highly approve of this format
Yes, I do that with all of my :qunq:programming:qunq: but for display purposes I’m still American :usa:
If I should ever become dictator for life one of my first decrees will be to demand some variant of the “yyyy-mm-dd” format.
Also, I will get rid of the penny.
