I like to type the word “ceded”.
I am staying in a rental cabin for a few days. The toilet had one of those paper strip things wrapped around the seat “sanitized for your protection”. Those things used to be used everywhere in the 70’s and 80’s if you stayed in a hotel. When was the last time you used a shitter that had one of those on there? Is this poll worthy?

I don’t stay in hotels all that often, but I see those in a lot of them. Maybe more than half, but I haven’t been keeping notes or anything.
I suspect that’s a habit of lower end hotels. I wouldn’t expect to see that in a $300/night NYC hotel. Might see it in a roadside hotel up north, places where you wouldn’t be sure that the place was cleaned in between guests.
I just found out my 2019 mailed in tax return was never received. Always online from now on. Now I need to file my 2019 taxes. I couldn’t file my 2020 taxes online because I couldn’t verify my 2019 AGI (because the IRS didn’t get it).
i just ordered new glasses and they told me i need progressives cause i’m old. am i gonna hate them? 
according to fb memories, on this day 4 years ago i was eating brunch in nyc with ao people. It looks like we went to a 2nd joint for margaritas afterwards. I WANNA DO THAT AGAIN!!!

Yeah, I miss NYC as a tourist. I want to go to Yellow Rat Bastard and look at the obscene t-shirts that I’m not allowed to buy. I want to eat from the roadside stands. I want to go to the upscale restaurants where they have people who spritz you with cologne in the washrooms. I wanna walk around soho. I want to take my SO, my kids, and their SO’s for a weekend of big city life.
Dammit. And we’d have gone if it wasn’t for covid.

i just hope that some of the upscale restaurants survive the pandemic. a lot of them closed 
i really should have made more of a point to try all these great restaurants while i still could. now too many are gone.

i’ve had way more than two brunches in nyc with ao peeps. none lately though because pandemic

i know that my vision for close up is not amazing, but thus far, i just deal with it and have just had glasses for distance. i have a feeling it hasn’t changed significantly since last i had my vision checked a few years ago, but went to a different place this time and they told me i need progressives.
