Today was a good day for a nap.
I need a recipe for ANT BNECN.
Iām taking this to the insignificant signals thread.
Iām taking this to the insignificant jealously thread.
Yesterday I saw one of the names in a Zoom meeting was Fred Chaiken. I initially thought it said āFried Chicken.ā It was clearly time to make dinner.
My decision-making process for cooking:
This recipe calls for a can of ācream of somethingā soup. Letās see, I have cream of chicken that expires 12/2023, cream of broccoli that expires 2/2024, and cream of onion that expires 11/2023.
Cream of onion it is!!!
(Zero though to what would actually taste best⦠just what expires first.)
What if you were doing this in December?
In December 2023? Iād absolutely use it!!!
A few days ago I was feeling a little under the weather and had to choose between Medicine A that expired in 11/2017, and Medicine B that expired in 1/2022. After much deliberation I threw out the 11/2017 medicine and took the stuff that was only 9 months expired.
i would have taken a double dose of A factoring in some degradation of strength
I mean⦠5 years expired is a lot. If it had been 2-3 years I probably wouldāve taken it, but 5 is a lot even for me.
No question on the 9 month stuff though. It was fine.
If you were on a business tripped and got mugged at knifepoint, would you try to expense your dollars lost to the mugger?
Yes, but only if I had a receipt.
Valid point. But as I think about it, the mugging business must be suffering over the last several years.
Few people actually carry much cash anymore.
And more people carry guns on them.
Is there a market to sell credit card point-of-sale processing equipment for the mugging industry? Perhaps to be cross sold with kevlar vests?
And what if Iām mugging for the camera and then lose that camera to a mugger? Is that like a double deduction? ā¦or double jeopardy?
Throw in a coffee mug and you have the plot to a sequel to āInceptionā
Reminder to self⦠Call Christopher Nolan, maybe DiCaprio too.
Open a bank account and get a free coffee mug!
Youāll need a good mug shot to prove it
