fortunately, it does not appear to be that

We are seriously addicted to our phones. I find myself picking up my phone and scrolling without even realizing I’m doing it, it’s an absentminded habit, and it’s terrible. I’m trying to put my phone down more and be intentional about my exposure.

I cut out mobile games entirely and found I had a lot more time during the day to get things done.

Whenever possible, I just leave my phone in another room. If I hear it ding, I’ll get up to look at it. (Fortunately, I don’t get many text messages.)

I do semi-dedicate 1-20 minutes a day to play Genshin Impact.

My city has areas called East Lake, Westlake, Northlake, and Southlake. Is that normal?

Why can’t it be both? There are some posters whose posts I go out of my way to avoid liking, even when in pursuit of a boss badge.

is there a lake?

In my area there is a long traffic artery called Lakeshore. I never was able to locate the lake. Turns out the creek it runs by was dammed in the 1910-1920’s to create a driving destination as cars were coming into vogue. In the dam burst several times and eventually was never repaired. The topography of the area is a long, narrow fold at the base of a ā€œmountainā€ that doesn’t change a lot in elevation. Today it has a long linear green space park (with one commercial area in the middle) next to the creek, and other infill properties including a school and sports fields.

Can someone pick out a single gift for all three of my sons?

We are getting each of our kids one expensive gift apiece. They’re at that age. Was hoping to also get one big gift for the whole family. Can’t do an out of state trip because fostering. Already have too many screens. And pets are not gifts (plus we have too many). Coming up short.

Which is/are?
