Why is it considered taboo to wake up and have an alcoholic drink, but a ‘wake and bake’ is just fine?

not 100% true. mimosa, screwdriver, bloody mary all seem to have breakfast/brunch acceptance.

but mostly true. the guy ordering a beam and coke at 8am gets labeled.

I’ve actually not heard of screwdrivers as a breakfast drink, but it makes some sense, given the OJ.

In Bavaria you’ll often see people enjoying a single beer with their breakfast. It’s traditional to have a weissbier to accompany your weisswurst with breakfast.

we have various music themed threads. and various other threads for what we are consuming (drinks; books; movies; shows/streaming).

do we have one for live musical performances we are seeing or have seen in recent timeframe?

since i don’t see one, i’ll share that I had a weekend seeing the best new jersey could offer: Titus Andronicus on Saturday and Springsteen on sunday. Both played “Glory Days”.

On Monday, May 1, 2023, my daughter will be performing a Voice Recital in St Paul-ish, so I’ll be seeing that.
