Why do plastic knives cut brownies better than metal ones?

Modest Mouse. Invite me to come along and I will.

Now we are on to something. Modest Mouse in Kansas City is one thing. The other option is Built to Spill in LFK, that’s potacular territory.

I pretty much only know “Lampshades on Fire”, but that’s banging enough for me. It’s a Tuesday. I could drive over from STL for the night. Or, if you wanna come over the next night (May 25), you could crash in my basement. They’re playing like 20 minutes from my house.

Maybe @Serena wants to rock out with us.

Thanks for thinking of me! I confess I don’t know any of the bands you’re talking about :grimacing: but I’m always down for a good time! :+1:

You should go. All those bands are amazing

I’ll look them up :+1:

That’s what the sailors say…

So… what have y’all done with your cloth masks that you never use any more? Toss them? Keep them in case they’re ever useful again? Use them for rags?

Trying to decide what to do with mine.

clllllloooooth…

mmmmaaaaasks???

You know, from like two years ago when you couldn’t get any other kind.

but you still have them around? Mine disappeared faster than double-chocolate brownies at a family reunion.

My cloth mask is squished in a side compartment of my laptop case. The elastic is all stretched out anyway, so it might become a rag soon. :man_shrugging:

I still have some. I’ve probably purchased 25 and maybe still own 10? Back when you had to wear them everywhere all the time (including to work in the office where I work in person) I had to have a bunch in rotation and wash them.

I don’t mind wearing a mask. I have a whole bunch that a good friend made. I keep them in a pile next to here I keep my keys and wallet. I was wearing them pretty consistently until a few weeks ago. I found out this week that you still need to wear one when you donate blood. I forgot to bring one with and needed to use one of the disposable ones.

I have a bin of masks in the car and on the entry table, with cloth, disposable, and N95 masks. I still wear a mask in public indoor places.

Why come when people use the term “grandfathered”, nobody gets upset about sexism?

“They updated the eligibility for that program, but since she was already a member, she was grandfathered in.”

We went out to eat in Jersey City this weekend, and there were a ton of people wearing masks OUTSIDE just walking around.
