i set the goal too low for my ocd number chasing. suprised myself w the consistent activity. updated goal is 3500. and thinking of november where i can have two things going
i’ve been doing 150-180 a day. the total might even be an undercount. bc i space out the sets, i am not building stamina in that i can do 40-45 in a set, rest a few minutes and repeat. the 46th push up is theoretically impossible for me. i have missed 0 days, which surprised me. even when camping i was able to knock out sets as needed
and now…
10/31 150 / 4000+
my low grade obsession really kicked in and I did 150 or more every day since the 8th of the month. So i lost exact count but the days were easy for me to recall. end result is i look a little different and feel a little different. that’s about it.
i think for november I will try to do 3000 push ups and 1000 squats (just body weight, but some with weights too). also will try to run 100 miles this month. oh, and somehow not be injured.
Random thoughts this morning. I’ve been doing weights for some months. I used to do a lot of weights when I was young. Now, I no longer go to failure. I don’t get the big burn. I don’t think I can, I think I’ll injure myself. I’m already of biceps because if got pain there.
I guess I won’t be going all Arnold anymore.
after 4 days - 600P, 200S, 9m. uninjured so far
I should join you on this
DO IT! the running you should adjust to reflect where you are in fitness. the others are filling in white spaces of idle time with 1-2 minutes of activity a few times a day
I have a lot of idle time - BW Squat x 50, Pushup X 50, Sit-up x 50. I’ll keep this up 5x a week.
11 days in: 1650P, 580S, and 37miles. also 260 minutes of exercise bike. not injured
It’s easy to forget to do this - I’ll do another 50 and 50 today
if you can do one week straight you will more or less have found the spaces where it fits. right when you wake. right before you shower. right before bed. right before you eat. commercial break in a show. etc.
Nov 20 update
71 miles. 3000 pushups. 1000 squats

I am not doing it daily, but I have been squatting and push-upping randomly. It is comfy to do 25 squats and 15 pu at a time

January is being moved to a different thread.
This AM I did a online body pump exercise class with Mini T-2. Women leading the class vs men leading the class are TOTALLY different. Women like to add contortion and twisty-itsy moves. Whereas the men just go up and down or left and right or back n forth.
Lately, whenever I walk downstairs, I make myself do a couple pull-ups, holding onto the floor above. Likewise, I moved my adjustable weights next to my TV and computer, and will sometimes lift when I’m bored and depressed. Same with eating protein bars instead of actual food.
The end result is this boring, sad, lonely winter has caused in some minor gains!
