Possibility or Paranoia

I’m confused. We’re discussing the June spike, yes? Which states were driving the spike? FL, R governor. TX, R governor. AZ, R governor. Why do you keep talking about D governors?

It is naive to think that groups of over a thousand people didn’t contribute to the virus spread in some capacity.

Almost all of the states saw a surge in June. Those were the largest, but the pattern was apparent throughout most states, including California.

My spouse’s current theory is that for several of the southern and westerns states where the surge was the biggest, it’s because summer is their winter, and it’s when they all moved to indoor activities (including bars and restaurants). There might be some truth to that, but it’s mostly just speculation

Of course they would. Much smaller gatherings than that contributed. Pretty much, anywhere that strangers congregate in close proximity contributes.

It is naive to think anything without facts.
That’s why I googled and found info.
And you, too can read reliable studies.

I think going inside for A/C probably contributed. Bars and restaurants seem to contribute no matter the weather. Opening bars is a bad idea overall because drunk people don’t social distance.

It’s hard to compare the states because they all had different restrictions in place, but FL in particular opened everything and that earned DeSantis a pat on the back from Trump. At the same time, Trump was berating the governors who actually came closer to meeting the task force’s gating strategy for reopening. What do you think that does for compliance in that state?

omg, Trump was entirely incompetent and did practically NOTHING to contain this virus AS PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES. his entire point in being useless was so that he could go on and blame the governors if anyone dies instead of taking any responsibility what so ever. Trump also screamed for states to re-open and bullied governors into it. this is in addition to politicizing mask wearing and social distancing, so that people would ignore their governors. so yes, I blame Trump.

can blame a combination of trump and the republican senators for refusing to provide any federal funding for states, making it hard for them to even stay closed. beyond that, Trump discouraged any sort of social distancing, so even if the democrat governors don’t listen to trump, many of the people who live there DO listen to trump and refuse to wear masks or social distance.

NY decreased in June.

Let’s get back to the topic, which is whether trump will leave office. There are plenty of other places to talk about covid. A whole category, even.

Hi Pete, good to have you!

Trump has two more months to pound away on the institutions of our society and government to get to his desire. Trump has two motivations right now. Take what he may be losing and revenge. Revenge in the form of hurt and misery against anyone and everyone that may have been involved in making him look bad or feel bad. It is the Trump way, it has been the Trump way all his life. Yet, shit for brains still support him to the extent that as they die in hospital they deny the existence of the infection that is killing them.

So after this firing let’s see if a lackey replacement tries to rewrite Chris Krebs’s history and who in America pushes the rewrite.

Here’s the quote from an official statement in bold that got him fired. “There is no evidence that any voting system deleted or lost votes, changed votes, or was in any way compromised.”

Wayne county board of canvassers refused to certify election results basically in order to steal the election for Trump.

BREAKING: This evening, the county board of canvassers in Wayne County, MI refused to certify the election results. If the state board follows suit, the Republican state legislator will select the electors. Huge win for

@realDonaldTrump

Monica Palmer, one of the Republicans, suggested that the board would certify the county’s results without the totals from Detroit, where Mr. Biden won with 94 percent support.

The link takes you to the right story, but the headline here is for a different story.

I can’t resist including one more tweet from Jenna Ellis

I’m going on record now:

If they try to cancel Christianity, if they try to force me to apologize or recant my Faith, I will not bend, I will not waver, I will not break.

On Christ the solid Rock I stand.

And I’m proud to be an American.

sounds like they reversed course and now are certifying the election according to MSNBC. Insane that this happened even temporarily.

Thanks

Democrat governors were not scared of Trump’s words, only his supporters. Republican governors were afraid of both. He’s can’t force a state to close, but he can tweet about it, which in many red states is enough to force a governor to follow his way.
