Political truths that are worth sharing but aren’t funny

Elon has since made more news by daring to eat food produced near nuclear fall-out, promising that the next version of autopilot will be mind blowing, and literally challenging Putin to a duel.

Someone once, not too long ago, told me the Elon Musk is good at the internet

Kinda funny too (the last line) but more “worth sharing” than “funny”

I’ve been wondering when my kid would figure out her grandparents are divorced. Apparently it was today. That was much harder.

Homosexuality is basically obvious and natural rearrangement. Divorce is like wtf.

Race/gender/class is definitely going to be hard.

War is also going to be hard. Really easy in the abstract. Hard to imagine thousands of people literally murdering each other.

War is easy until you get it. Once someone understands everything about it it’s vile and reprehensible.

I tried broaching the concept of war with my 6 year old the other day. She gets the notion that we’re in a town and live in the US which we can see on the globe etc etc but the notion that people would legit try to fight each other at scale is challenging to ELI6…

Not sure it’s truth, but if true it’s worth sharing.

Seems legit.

After questioning Ketanji Brown Jackson, Ted Cruz immediately searched his own name on Twitter. I presume he was looking to see how his remarks were trending.

These confirmation hearings have always involved a fair amount of political theater, but it seems worse now to me. Cruz, Hawley, and Cotton seem to be trying to turn this into a campaign commercial on how tough they are on crime to elevate themselves for the presidential run. What a joke, particularly for the seditious Hawley.

That’s a great political cartoon. Just the right amount of everything and it has layers like an ogre.

Some humor, but much truth.
