Political truths that are worth sharing but aren’t funny

So hard to deal with the Trump Administration. Apparently the problem is Canada’s hearing?

A day after U.S. President Donald Trump said his country doesn’t need anything Canada has, his envoy to this country said the United States actually has “tremendous” need for things outside its borders — and if Canada can fulfil them, it will make both countries stronger.

The ambassador tried to explain that there is often a communication challenge between the two countries, where the U.S. is trying to say one thing, and Canada hears something else.

He explained that Trump’s remarks about not needing anything from Canada is really his way of saying America is open for business — an invitation to “make us an offer.”

I doubt the numbers on Bush/Obama/Biden are really zero, but I feel at least reasonably confident all 3 had their money an actual blind trust being managed by someone else while they were in office.

I feel that the Trump number is probably accurate as he doesn’t even try to hide the insider trading for gain and actually encourages it.

Apparently true, per The Guardian.

Not a truth, but a reasonable question to ponder:

The reflecting pool must have been vandalized, right? Couldn’t be shoddy workmanship. Vandals probably hired by Biden or Obama?

Ah, our Glorious Loser has encountered the speculation from the wackadoodle portion of MAGA/Q forums that the condition of the renovated reflecting pool is the result of terrorism by Antifa and the Dumocrats.

Oh, was it a democratic contractor that suggested using a paint remover to cleans the pools of the algae?

Using hydrogen peroxide as an algaecide is pretty common. It’s dumb here because the reflecting pool is so large and is connected to the river, but is reasonable in a smaller pool. And it isn’t the cause of the paint peeling, as the concentration needed to be an algaecide is much lower than what is needed to remove paint, and they aren’t hitting the lower mark.

Many people seem to think the paint is peeling because the no bid contractor didn’t properly prep the surfaces, partly due to rushing to get it done before a legal injunction could stop things, partly because of incompetence, and possibly didn’t use the right materials, largely due to incompetence.
