Another annoying thing about the state of things:
You have to watch real people be violently killed just to know what’s going on in the world.
That’s not particularly healthy, even for adults.
Now we know why black kids get “The talk” in America.
Shouldn’t have to, of course.
Getting so that every single American needs The talk, with these armed maniacs.
Sad but true
I keep thinking about how there has been no publicized action against companies that employ undocumented workers.
There’s plenty of prior experience with the phenomenon of many undocumented individuals self-deporting when they can’t find the jobs they came here for.
Targeting employment of such individuals wouldn’t address the simple fact that the US’s immigration process and visa issuance in general is, at best, extremely dysfunctional. But in lieu of addressing that glaring problem, going after employers rather than the labor itself would be a more cost-effective approach, and less prone to abuses of human decency.
Of course, there’s also the problem that human decency doesn’t seem to matter to MAGA…at least not unless you have the correct skin color and birth location.
