The Kentucky SoS got tired of being asked why polls are closed today. Which is because there is no election today, and those voters can’t vote in other states.
The Lexington newspaper posted that? I hope it is because they were passing on the answer that they knew.

I suspect the claim here will be “Republicans were going to take away the filibuster.” Which, let’s pretend that’s true. Republicans now know they have an extortion piece they can play for anything, which effectively kills the filibuster anyway as they wish.
I would have said “fine, go kill the filibuster, go knock out everything on your agenda, we’ll see you at the polls in 12 months.” Then, when [not if] the Senate flips, I would use the lack of a filibuster to run over Republicans at every possible opportunity by passing every high-popularity bill I can imagine and force Republicans to vote against it knowing that without the filibuster they can’t block a vote.
All that said, I will be shocked if any of this moves forward. I don’t see Johnson opening up the House; that would require swearing in Grijalva or forcing a court decision about it, she’s the 218th vote to release the Epstein Files, and even without that Massie, MTG et. al. will simply try to attach “release the Epstein Files” to every piece of legislation and force Republicans to vote on it. It’s pretty clear he’s going to block that move at every opportunity, which is why the House hasn’t been in session for about 2 months and counting.
Finally: Schumer - that motherfucker has to go. Preferably to retirement in upstate New York, but I’ll take anywhere he’s not a leader in Congress as a starting point.

I believe that if they are merely at the needed number then some weakest link will be found and that person will flip. the bribery will be at insane levels, as will be the threat of falling from a window
