Biden admin did more for working people than anybody since FDR, or maybe Johnson. They just didn’t brag about it endlessly on every form of media like they should have.
Biden isn’t in power anymore. What he did is yesterday’s news.
One of the problems the Dems have had after Biden dropped out of the 24 campaign is that the Dems haven’t found a message that resonates with enough of the masses beyond “we’re not Trump or his cronies”.
In that context, the comic is quite true.
That’s a pretty disingenuous take imo. A big part of the problem is that the media simply doesn’t choose to cover them. It’s more profitable for them to obsess over every idiotic thing Trump does. We just had a massive protest with millions of people turning out to support the democrats and there was minimal substantive coverage of it. Every one of those gatherings had multiple speakers outlining all the ways they want to address the issues our country faces and you didn’t hear about any of it. The problem is not that they “got nothing”, it’s that their message can’t penetrate the right-wing media stranglehold.

There’s a reason why I phrased my response the way I did.
I don’t think the current problem is that the Dems are being blocked out by mass media.
I think the current problem is that the Dems have failed to find a message that has resonated enough to transcend their home echo chambers other than ones that fall within the “Trump is doing bad things; we don’t think those bad things should be done” frame that is too-easy for mass media to package in such a manner.
I’ll admit that the problem might be more one of Dems “failing to resonate” their message, rather than the message itself failing to resonate. Part of the reason our Glorious Leader did as well as he did in 2024 was that his team was active in finding new outlets for its messages, and tailoring its messages to reflect what resonated with those outlets’ audiences.
While mass media outlets do have the failing that waiting for our Glorious Leader to say/do something outrageous is one way to drive up ratings, in 2024 some of their coverage was also amplification of that lower level messaging that had resonated enough to attract mass media attention.
Of course, to go back to the objection to that comic in this thread: we do also have the challenge of having a “funny” thread and another thread labeled “true but not funny”. We don’t have a thread for topical comics/memes that don’t clearly fit either label (and I’m not certain we want to start another thread for them)

If you say negative things about Trump he goes after your broadcast license. If you make Trump look bad you get expensive lawsuits and death threats. The GOP is killing off a free media in favour of state/vigilante restricted media.
