My masochistic tendencies make me visit the Fox News site once a day to see what stories they are covering and how their readers are reacting. It is depressing to see the regurgitation of Trump’s lies in the reader comments. Makes you realize the absence of critical thinking may doom the US.
Wish stories like this got reported by Fox News instead of Trump announcements portraying Canada as a cheater taking advantage of the US.
One of my American actuary friends mentioned that he and his wife are attending a Hands Off rally this Saturday. I had previously been unaware that mass anti-Trump protests were being planned throughout the US this weekend. A promising development so I hope some of you are also participating. Only the American people through their actions can slow down Trump!
I thought there had been anti-Trump protests most weekends of the past 2-plus months.
So far none of them have reached whatever the other threshold is of significant media coverage despite the likelihood of government repercussions.

Closing US aid and service organizations
Planned Parenthood
Denying security to religious organizations
and oh, yeah, tariffs (include stock market and economy here)
right now I am mostly on #s 1 (professionally) and 3 and 7 (personal volunteer work)
though most people will care more about their personal pocket books, I should be ok for a while
