Hmmmm, I was introduced to many of her songs via KidzBop which has pretty good singers age 9-14 or thereabouts (I don’t remember the precise age cutoffs) remake popular songs with slightly sanitized lyrics.
The KidzBop kids could well be better on vocals than Ms. Swift herself. I probably hear the KidzBop versions 10x for every 1x I hear the real versions so her vocal talent (or lack thereof) may well be something I failed to notice.
I doubt that Taylor Swift could sing a Celine Dion song very well, but I think she can probably sing her own songs better than other people can sing them.
Right. She is one person who can sing, perform, write, and produce music where any one of those talents alone could have made her wealthy, but the fact that she has put it all together consistently for nearly 20 years is what is crazy.
The producing part, and owning one’s own music, is where the money is, assuming it is worth something.
Singing and performing only get you so far, money-wise. Comfortable, maybe, but not too wealthy.
Now I’ll need to back that up.
Meh, it’s ok. Sometimes when Mini Me isn’t with me my car radio is still set to Kidz Bop from the last time she was and I find myself singing along for a bit and then I’m like “dammit, why am I listening to this?”
I never tune to Kidz Bop unless she asks me to, but it’s not the worst thing on the radio.
I think the Romans used to do that. Anybody coming out of the northeast was a Scythian, even though over the centuries the originals were wiped out and replaced by several different tribes.
