This is just a refreshing display of honest ethicality. I donate blood and I’m on the national bone marrow registry, and the organ donor registry, and have mulled over voluntarily donating a kidney.
Some people don’t want the vaccine because there’s a tiny chance it will hurt you, and because they shouldn’t be coerced into keeping others safe.
There isn’t anything necessarily wrong with looking out for yourself first.
