Tangent, how many of the math teachers could pass the test?
When I volunteered in the schools tutoring math at that level I did some reading. And most teachers at that level, the last time they’d seen like grade six math was when they were in grade six.

My understanding is that Russia does not have an extradition treaty with the U.S. Sounds like if they’d simply fled to Russia sooner they would be living like kings.

Most of the countries without extradition treaties are not great places to hang out, and i gather there are difficulties going that route. I forget the details, though.
One of STBX’s buddies spends a ton of time in Lebanon. Americans vacation in Botswana and other African countries all the time for safaris. There are considerable numbers of Americans living or vacationing in China, Taiwan, Vietnam.
Andorra is supposed to be a nice place. And Georgia is just on the other side of Russia.
I would prefer the US to any of those places. But my life plan isn’t to steal $71 billion of cryptocurrency and go on the lam. Seems like if that is your life’s plan then you need to be willing to suck it up and live in a country on the list.

Even without a treaty, many of those countries will extradite in cases like this. For instance, it looks like Vietnam would.

If they are getting returned you probably don’t want them.
Not necessarily, especially with amazon. Many people buy three pairs of shoes knowing they will only keep one pair.
