Can’t you turn off your Air Drop? Does he need to have it on while flying?
Also, Air Drop works in airplane mode?
Were they airdropping them to the pilot? He said, “So you folks, whatever that AirDrop thing is, quit sending naked pictures, and let’s get yourself to Cabo.”
From that comment, I’m not even sure he knows what “AirDrop” even is. And I’m sure those on the flight deck are not checking their phone while taxiing to take off.
I did hear a comedian talk about stalking in the airport people with AirDrop though. It was pretty funny.
i don’t know exactly how airdrop works.
but a school in our town had a kid exposing himself and someone else recorded it. then the recorder airdropped the video of the exposed kid to every iphone they could within the school.
so, i guess it allows connections to people you don’t know if the settings are that open?

When someone shares something with you using AirDrop, you see an alert with a preview. You can tap Accept or Decline.
Basically, iiutc, you can send something to anyone with an apple device. They have to “accept” it, but, seriously, who wouldn’t accept a random package? …especially teenagers? …and pilots? …and teenage pilots?
Now all those kids can go to jail for possession of child pornography (if the original kid was underage)
yes, that was understood quickly by the school who may have (or may not have) said just that and deleting it is in your best interests.

Yes. But you can turn it off or set it to contacts only. I have only ever used airdrop with family members.
