One of them should say that Moses helped them win and then we could have the Jesus vs Moses grudge match.
“Not content with the long 20-minute wait for diarrhea,…”
B-R had a “hot” ice cream a few years back as the Flavor of the Month for October. It was still available in late December.
I’m curious what this is going to taste like. Oyster crackers in ice cream doesn’t sound good, but people put pretzels in ice cream, so I dunno.
Skyline and Graeter’s are both iconic Cincinnati brands.
Pretzels add salt, that I love with sweet
Oyster crackers and not really salty, if they remain crisp, I can see it being like a puffed rice
Skyline’s oyster crackers are as salty as the small hard pretzels that are added to ice cream, I would say.
I don’t know how you keep them crunchy though. One way is to coat in chocolate… curious if that’s what Graeter’s is going to do. They’re famous for their chocolate chips and Skyline Chili does have cocoa as part of its spice mix so it wouldn’t be outlandish. The image does not appear to show any chocolate though.
or chocolate potato chips?
at the state fair i had some soft serve that had a ribbon of siracha in it. it was ok
Skyline Chili isn’t all that spicy in terms of heat. A lot of people add hot sauce to make it hotter. It does have chili powder in it though. But so does some fine chocolate.
I dunno… I’m curious. I don’t expect to like it as much as their signature black raspberry chip, but it’s worth a taste the next time I’m close enough to a Skyline to pop in.
Reformulate the recipe…
As you noted in your response, a chocolate coating is one way.
Skyline Chili is to chili as McRib sauce is to barbeque.
Cincinnati chili is not chili. It’s something different. If you compare it to chili you will be disappointed every time because it is fundamentally not chili. It would be like rating cornbread on a scale of best to worst brownies. Cornbread is not a very good brownie because it is fundamentally not a brownie.
Instead of worrying about what Skyline Chili is not, if you can look past the name and appreciate it for what it IS, then you might like it. Because while it is absolutely NOT chili, it IS quite tasty.
Does cornbread have crunchy edges?
Asking for a friend, IYKWIM.
Depends on who makes it and how long they cooked it and at what temperature.
I would definitely give Cincinnati chili a try. Is it light or heavy on the tomato paste?
Do they put YOU KNOW WHAT in it??? If so, I would be terribly disappoint. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINT!!! ![]()
Absolutely not. Cincinnati chili does not have raisins. Why? Because raisins have no business being anywhere near this dish. The warm, sweet spices—like cinnamon and cloves—already provide all the flavor complexity you could want, without dragging shriveled little fruit intruders into the mix.
Skyline Chili, Gold Star Chili, and every respectable Cincinnati chili recipe out there wisely avoid raisins. Sure, it’s inspired by Mediterranean flavors, and dried fruits occasionally sneak into those, but this isn’t one of those times. Raisins would ruin the smooth, savory perfection of Cincinnati chili. So, rest easy—this dish is blissfully raisin-free.

LOL
Here is one with raisins, not sure where the hell it came from but my lord it looks like someone said, how can we come up with the worlds worst chilli and still put out a recipie with a straight face.
More like “great fun to troll your kids.”
