I’ll be in NYC from May 29-31. Anyone want to catch up for lunch or a coffee / beer?
Would love to. Can’t, but would love to.
Man, I love NYC, particularly when it’s just getting together, touring around and eating food. Some of the most memorable meals I’ve had were in NYC.
Business or pleasure? ![]()
Pleasure! Taking advantage of a voucher I got when bumped from a flight last year, going to stay with my cousin. Probably just lots of walking around and taking in the scenery.
And you picked… NYC??
At this time of year? New York is a great choice!
(I can’t be their, either.)
Rookie mistake, he clearly should have picked the little apple - Manhattan, KS. So that I could make it.
Yep! If you can’t find something to enjoy in the biggest city in the country, that’s a you problem, not the city problem.
maybe next summer I take the Great American Road Trip and hit you up along the way.
Will you be right in Manhattan??? ![]()
I’ve already been several times, and there are several hundred other places I’d rather be.
I gotta drive around it on my way from Newport RI to Gettysburg PA. No time to stop.
Cousin’s place is near Prospect Park in Brooklyn, that’ll be home base. I’ll probably walk through th the park a few times; I’m thinking of visiting the Guggenheim and definitely want to hit a couple of comedy clubs one night for laughs.
If you don’t hate the Knicks, you might be able to catch a game at a bar somewhere. It’ll be crazy.
Looks like the Knicks earned themselves a week off. They won’t be playing again until June.
I don’t hate the Knicks, but I am also not interested in NBA. Hard pass.
I have zero interest in ongoing pro sports, but I think that in general going to see a game is a good time. mostly because of the crowd.
I’ve been to a few major sporting events and despite not knowing what was going on, always had a good time. Yay team!
Yeah, but F*k the Knicks.
just sayin’
i am generally not up to date on the NBA, but whoever plays the spurs or OKC are getting pounded, right?
I would have thought so too, but OKC and the Spurs are beating the crap out of each other in a series that will probably go to game 7. Meanwhile the Knicks seem to be peaking at the right time and have a whole week to recover. They absolutely dismantled Cleveland, except for the first part of game 1.
Or, “too rusty.”
