The Musk throttling of any posts with links was limiting the reach of journalists. Not surprising at all that they are getting way more interactions and click throughs on Bluesky.
According to this the bluesky user count jumped by 7 Million since October to 20M

I have five followers on bluesky. One of them immediately followed me after I followed them. That makes sense. Two of them are in the same rough genre. That kind of makes sense. Two of them are complete randoms. I have zero posts and it will probably stay that way. Maybe I …here’s one. "?
I have 6 followers
A word of advice, do not turn off the adult content filter in your settings. You will be swamped.
I didn’t do any engagement farming for followers on twitter, and won’t on Bluesky either. I don’t care about that. I had almost 600 on Twitter, but a huge chunk of the followers in the Musk era were fembots. I bet I had about 300-350 real followers there, but never attempted to quantify.
I have 146 on Bluesky so far and almost all appear legit. There are 1 or 2 that seem a bit suspect.
I have ~160 followers at the moment. I’d say most are fembots or beggars, the rest are D supporters in some fashion.
One thing that’s jumped out: people who are blue QAnon. Disappointing, but I’m not surprised.
Texas Observer goes after some Texas Nazis on Twitter, some of who Musk directly interacted with
suddenly you have my attention…
This is Facebook for me. I have zero connections, I set it up for work. All my friend requests are pictures of scantily clad women from the other side of the world.
I actually find it mildly offensive before I move on with my day. Maybe I’m getting old.
Apparently a couple of days ago, someone published an article looking at the times of day that Musk posts to Twitter. And in entirely unrelated news, a new update released today no longer shows full time stamps on posts, just the dates of the posts.
I saw that article, basically indicating Musk has posted continuously since acquiring Twitter. There is a slight reduction for a couple hours daily in the middle of the night, but not much
So are they implying that he may not actually post each tweet himself? I’m shocked!
Update: JP Morgan Chase fired the neo Nazi that worked for them
Well, Elon’s $100M wouldn’t have gone nearly as far if he hadn’t spent $44B on Twitter. His control of social media during the election, banning dissenting voices while allowing white supremacists and the like, had enormous consequences.
$250 million, not $100 million. And the 250 is just the main PAC, turns out that there were others.
