Musk buys Twitter

Probably posted before but in Spanish the X has an Sh sound, so Twitter now X has been combined to Shitter.

Reminded me of this post I recently saw (Republicans Say is bleeding but we’re already on a Twitter thread, soo)

ChatGPT explicitly doesn’t include generative results from 2024, but if you pay for it and ask for a 2024 question it will search the internet for the answer. However, these intentionally twisted prompts are being used to prove bias.

Google is similar to all other internet crap, in that it gives you what is popular OR whoever is paying to be put on the search first. Doesn’t give you “what should be” first.

Toughest CEO job in America?

I’d like to know how many nights of hardcore coding he’s had and what’s his most salient 10 lines of code since taking over as CEO.

Was that a typo? I assume you meant ‘10 lines of coke.’

That’s probably closer to reality.

Google personalizes results, so you wouldn’t expect everyone to get the same search results. Likely you search out Trump stuff more than Biden/Harris stuff (and who doesn’t, now that i think of it?)

Shortly after this, #ElonIsWeird stopped trending, almost as if someone manually removed it from the listings.

Musk repeating discredited UK far right talking points. Can’t he just stick to the US? Bad enough that he re-platformed all our fascists on twitter.

You must pay to run ads with me or I will sue you:

It’s a shame there’s no federal anti-SLAPP law, because that would qualify.

Actually if there was an organized “let’s not do business with” it is actionable. Source: my annual anti-trust training at work. One shouldn’t even suggest to actuaries at other companies “reinsurer a is very poorly rated. If you do business with them you might get burned. Let’s all avoid them”. To be clear that is entirely a hypothetical example of what one shouldn’t do.

In the x situation, those companies have reasonable fears of reputational harm imo. They just can’t say so in a coordinated manner in a trade group or suggest that other companies do the same thing.

Nope. I’ve been sticking my head in the sand. I’ve googled some of the potential running mates, but neither Harris nor Biden nor Trump in quite some time.

#Elon is weird

Do I get this right that Elon wants the government to force advertisers to spend money on shitter?

That sounds kind of I don’t know what’s the word for the opposite of freedom?
