Netflix backs out of Paramount bid.
On Thursday, Mr. Sarandos (Netflix co-CEO) spent much of the day in Washington at the White House, where he discussed the transaction with aides to Mr. Trump and officials at the Justice Department.
Yeah, I wonder how that conversation went.

Was rooting for Netflix. I hope Paramount Skydance loses a fortune on the deal, if it goes through.

Trump is 1 man, he has as much power as willing Americans cede to him. Those who aren’t resisting are empowering.
I just hope enough Americans are willing to fight back hard if he tries something like that.
He did so much for the country…

i heard some of the things he said about the 2nd amendment and I admire his commitment to proving it.
I think this raises a meta question. Is making money off of bashing black and queer people authoritarian, or just being an asshole? And is the Department of Education promoting an asshole authoritarian or asshole behavior?
I don’t think that’s authoritarian per se, but I do think that beatifying individuals who promoted narratives supportive of a regime aspiring to authoritarianism counts as a milestone.
