It’s a blanket, and there are 4 of them in our house 
Bad news: Poor Bertie appears to have a large open wound under his tail right above his bum. I noticed blood and bare skin this morning - I’m assuming it’s a burst abscess? It’s a really big hole. We’re obviously going to run him to the vet asap, but I feel bad for my poor dude.

That kitty only has the pink area by one eye, not both like Jeeves. Maybe it’s NJ again. Is Jeeves chipped?
My husband doesn’t know, so I assume that means baby mama handled all that and he’s as good as not chipped.
For the eye thing, Jeeves always has crap in his eyes - so that is just eye crud. I think I can rule out NJ before Jeeves on this one since she was a really small cat.
For real though, why does Jeeves have to look different in EVERY GOD DAMN PICTURE?!
Is it him?! I DON’T KNOW. He’s got the same droopy right eye, same goopy left eye, the white shadows above his eyes seem to match up, his left ear is brighter in all pictures, his ballet paw is correct - but did he somehow get fatter outside?!

Updates:
(1) Bert appears to have been bitten right in the ass. There is not one but two holes, with the top one larger than the bottom one. The distance between the holes makes me think this was Mama Jazz that got him weeks ago and we just didn’t notice until now (as opposed to one of the kittens). He’s on pain meds and antibiotics now, and this is the first time he’s gotten in my lap during work in a while. Shit. He just left.
(2) I’m 80-99% convinced we’ve found my other cat (Jeeves). Husband is still skeptical at 50/50, but he was shooting down valid clues like “This cat is loud” left and right - and Jeeves IS loud. I literally described him as being loud in my lost cat postings. I don’t know what kind of crazy juice my husband is on, but he seems to really not want to get his hopes up on this one. The other solid clue we got was that this cat has “Something wrong with his mouth”. I mean yeah - that’s Jeeves.
So the person that sent me the picture above has been messaging me through NextDoor and we went to take her a trap to catch Jeeves on Saturday. Her place is baller and I don’t blame him for hanging out there. Now we just have to wait to catch him and bring him home.

Jeeves update: Folks that feed him 2-3 times a week report in that there has been no sight of him since we put the trap out. Only my cat would be this good at avoiding his own rescue.
Making biscuits! Lots of cats do it - particularly if they try to suckle at the same time, I understand it can mean they weren’t weaned properly, but I don’t think that has to be the case either.
He’s suckling. We raised them (this set of 4) on a bottle from a week old (possibly a few days less), but he just started trying to nurse from blankets in the past few days while kneading, they’ve been weaned off the bottle for about 2 weeks (weaned at 8 weeks). It’s possible the behavior was happening before but we couldn’t see it, because the towel they had was in a cat carrier, and now they’ve been released into the house and thus made their own way onto beds. He is the only one doing it that I’ve noticed, they all knead, but this little guy is also suckling on blankets. I think it may just be having access to a silky soft texture that triggered it.
