Thanks for the match, OldTimer. Hoping next year you extend your run and get to say “this is the longest I’ve been in a contest” yet again.
I am offline until Sunday night, so you’ve got the weekend to work on it.
Since that’s the case, we’ll just kick off the Final Four on Monday - that’s give our players the weekend to strategize their path to the 2026 RPS Crown!
See y’all on Monday… and keep sending in those throws! ![]()
We were out for Mother’s Day brunch and there was a family waiting to be seated. The dad was teaching the 5 year-old how to play RPS. The kid beat him a number of times.
cracks knuckles
Let’s do this.
I just realized this is a rematch from last year’s Elite Eight. Meaning, I guess JFG and I meet again for the 2nd time, for the 1st time.
Lots of story lines apply. Everyone else with time can write them.
… and the Final Four is officially underway!
Who won the first round? Anyone who threw scissors, that’s who!

Not off to a great start, guys!
Depends on which side of the ledger you’re on and/or what your strategy is.
Gotta love the enthusiasm of this Final Four - they got TWO Games in today!
![]()
(Of course, it’s likely that passion that got them to the Final Four in the first place!
)
That’s great news for 2 players, as both used the power of paper to get halfway to the finals! ![]()
As for the other 2 players, well… I wouldn’t put it past them to spring a long-range trap, so I wouldn’t rule them out just yet… ![]()
A suddenly vital Game 3 is on the horizon in both matches, so stay tuned, and keep sending in those throws! ![]()

Poor, NA. ![]()
Looks like we’ve been 2-0 six times so far this tournament with the person ahead 2-0 winning five of the six times. Yikes. NA looks to be in real trouble. She may just win it all.
Can’t tell if too much WIFOM or not enough…
You’re never in trouble until you lose at home.
Though, I guess as the lone returning F4er I had [would have, through to the finals?] home throw advantage.

Is this a 2-3-2 series like MLB or 2-2-1-1-1 like NBA and NHL?
Semi-Finals - Game 3
Now is when it gets really interesting - it’s one thing to be down 2-0, since there’s still some time to rally. Now you get down 3-0, then :gulp: you’ve got a mighty big task ahead of you.
Anyways, on to Game 3, where we had 3 throws of Rock ![]()
And that 4th throw? It was Paper, which is means someone’s in a great position…
…so congrats on not being a Rockstar, NerdAlert - you’re now up 3-0!
===========================================
Meanwhile, in the other match we had a tied first throw - what happened on the second throw?
TedHoffman finally gets on the board with the ol’ R-S combo!

Is this exciting or what? Stay tuned for more RPS drama, and keep sending in those throws! ![]()

NerdAlert appears to be rockin’ it!!

I’m not joking when I say I really do not want to win!
Look, if I we make it to the finals I can help you throw games.
