Gg @OldTimer . I go with the theory of rooting for whoever beat me in hopes they take it all, so I can say I only lost to the champion.
I couldn’t beat you; what makes me think I could beat someone who took you out? Nah, I’ll root against you this year I think.
Quick Summary:
A lot of excitement since the last update! Our 4 s turned into a bit of a variety platter!
Let’s see what happened:
From top to bottom, here’s who all was on the cliff edge in the last update
(feel free to reveal in any order!):
- WishBear - What happened to this cliff dweller?
It lasted FOUR throws…
… but Ted_Hoffman pulled it out and advances to the Elite Eight, to take on JFG with a spot in the Final Four on the line!!)
- Ezekial_Cumberland - What happened to our #1 Seed cliff dweller?
As you recall, it’s been a back-and-forth match so far…
… so why stop now?? We’re going to a Winner Take All Game 7!!
- SteveWhite - What happened to this cliff dweller?
SteveWhite’s still dwelling on the cliff - we’re still waiting for someone’s throws…
- AbstractActuary - What happened to this cliff dweller?
AA was down 3-0 - will we get our first sweep of the tournament?
(dramatic pause)
Put the brooms away - AA is still alive!
- … but who’s the new cliff dweller?
1695814 has now joined the already crowded cliff - there’s always room for one more…
… until there’s not.

Good luck in game 7, EC.
Go Phils!
Thanks for an exciting match @Ted_Hoffman! My head still hurts from trying to out throw you. Good Luck the rest of the way!
Quick Summary:
Yes, it’s one of our iest updates of the tournament - we lost three players!!
As you may recall, we all had our out for a Winner Take All Game 7 between EC and MtnHawk. Hard to say who was the favorite in this one, as it was an epic back-and-forth match, tied at 1-1, 2-2, and then 3-3. How did this intense match play out?
Like most of their matches, it was a 1-throw game…

EC moves on to the Elite Eight!
Well played, the both of you!
As for our other two eliminations/advancements, we had our first of the year, as VA swept SteveWhite, and skysn93 ended on a 3-game winning streak to eliminate 1695814.
With all that action the cliff edge is now thinned out a bit, leaving just AbstractActuary from the former group… but AA now has a new neighbor, with BruteForce now hanging out there as well.
So now we’re already down to 11 folks (the matches are really moving along this year - nice job, y’all! ). Stay tuned to see who claims the final 3 seats in the Elite Eight (and keep sending in those throws!
).

Great game 'Hawk! You had me biting my nails there at the end!
gg, good luck in the final three rounds!
Quick Summary:
Well, we’re now down to 10 players - those folks on the cliff just keeps slipping off. This time it was BruteForce that couldn’t hang on. AbstractActuary managed to hang on yet again, and now has another new neighbor: Actuary321 has now joined the “living on the edge” crowd.
We’re just two matches from completing our Elite Eight, and we now have two matches with Final Four spots on the line… the excitement just keeps building!
Stay tuned (and keep sending those throws!)

Go Ted!
I wasn’t even a contest for Soy. GG!
Thanks for the games.
Thanks! Great game, hope to see you again next year!
You fared better than SteveWhite . . .
@SteveWhite: thanks for the game. Better luck next year . …
Or bad luck in 1695814’s “looser bracket” that he’ll likely be starting up shortly
Hey!
Told you I’m rooting against you sir. Good luck anyways
Quick Summary:
For those of you paying close attention, these signals (along with the absence of s ) tell you everything that happened. The
tells us that Actuary321, like so many others, was not able to hang on the cliff, which means SteveGrondin has advanced to the Elite Eight!
Meanwhile, the long-term cliff-dweller AbstractActuary has battled back from being down 3-0 to force a Winner Take All Game 7 for the last spot in Elite Eight! So get yer
ready, folks - it’s sure to be a great finish to a very streaky match!
The other trend for this update is that our Regional Titleholders are starting to run into some choppy waters… is this a sign of things to come, or is this just part of their master plans?
Stay tuned to find out! (And keep sending in those throws! )
