March Madness 2022 (a.k.a the annual Rock-Paper-Scissors tournament)

Sadly, the truth is you beat up a harmless girl who was sleepy this week.

I liked this story about the 2007 RPS champion. She didn’t lose her focus, studied hard, and crushed it to win the grand prize. As the article is titled, a true “American Hero”.

'Cuse student wins Rock, Paper, Scissors championship - Sports Illustrated

Ha! You thought I was going to throw paper to cover your rock again, but I didn’t! Ha! Ha! Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! (Thank’s Excel RNG.)

I’m never going to get laid with that version.

Now the question is whether I submit my next throws now or wait until I find out who my next opponent is.

The way things are going for me in that game, I’m more likely to have more time to focus on throwing Spocks ‘n’ Lizzards.

Well, your opponent is obviously going to be me so prepare accordingly. I let TNLinus win the first game just to throw you all off. I came back with the classic strategy of matching rock to make TNL think I was going to scissors, but of course I zigged instead of zagged and hit them hard with the paper. My victory is assured!

But . . . TNLinus is a pseudo-Sicilian with pseudo-death on the line!

Actually, yes, damn you RNG!

Either that, or I thought I was throwing my rock-cutting scissors…

My reputation succeeds me . . .

Am I correctly reading that I need to wait for the outcome of the match between @ALivelySedative and whomever wins the @Snake vs @The_Notorious_LINUS to know my next opponent?

Yep, you might want to schedule some RPS friendlies to stay fresh.

My apologies - I just got home, and I’m a little too tired to update tonight. Hopefully no one was staying up late for that. I’ll do my best to get an update out tomorrow morning.

I think I’ve scared @Celalta off.

Quick Summary:
:oh_noes: :oh_noes: :oh_noes:

That’s right, we have not 1, not 2, but 3 players who could be eliminated on their next throw! I know some folks are rooting for the quick finish (well, at least 3 folks), but there are plenty more who’d rather see the Game 5 showdown (again, at least 3 other folks in this camp).

The good, no… GREAT news is that everyone’s who in an active match has made at least one throw! (Yeah, it’s a  for me since I no longer have to chase anyone down - I can just start reporting the exciting matches that are underway… and what more can you ask for, eh? :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: ).

So Happy Friday y’all, and keep those throws coming! :+1:

Key: * indicates throws submitted; # indicates throws need to be turned in or you will be booted

Yes, you read that correctly. I assume you factored in the schedule when making your RPS throws - that’s what separates those who make the Final Four and those who don’t, right?

(Okay, it’s significantly more likely that the Final Four entrants made winning throws, but work with me here, 'k?)

In the meantime, you can use this free time to work on your heckling/cheering skills!
