I’d assumed (I guess incorrectly) that intercepted aid was more due to Hamas, honestly. Seems it’s just people desperate to not die. From your article:

“The long-standing restrictions on the entry of aid have created an unpredictable environment where there is a lack of confidence by the communities that aid will reach them,” she says.
“This has resulted in many of our convoys offloaded directly by starving, desperate people as they continue to face deep levels of hunger and are struggling to feed their families,” the UN staffer continues.
“As we have said before, the only way to reach a level of confidence is by having a sustained flow of aid over a period of time. This was clearly evident during the weeks of the last ceasefire when such incidents did not occur,” she adds.
Some are gangs who resell it for profit. I’m not sure how the UN is able to tell which looters are taking for themselves and which are ones who plan to resell it and which are taking for Hamas.
Or, to put it in perspective: since July 27, the average daily air drop has provided about 1% per day of what Palestinians in Gaza need. Hence, why the few here who give a shit about humanity have properly referred to the operation as a show, designed to give the illusion of help while drawing out the agony of starvation.
Except now, the goal really is to let them die of hunger - but in excruciating fashion by torturing them along the way with the promise of a few morsels of food before they go back to starving again. It’s serial killer behavior.
The only surprising thing there is that there was a horse left in Gaza to pull a cart. I’m sure it’s a Hamas horse, and Israel will target it shortly - probably when there’s women and children around so they can wipe out more of them to help control the future population some more, like prominent figures in Israel have bragged about doing.
If anything, I’m also shocked we haven’t heard about the IDF targeting the parachutes so that they tear apart and collapse, sending the aid plummeting to the earth where it goes to waste and potentially kills Palestinians on the ground. No, I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s happened. No, I wouldn’t be surprised to see the couple of suspects here blame Hamas for it [without any proof at all besides some unsubstantiated link from some ultra-right wing Israeli mouthpiece that also has no proof] / defend the IDF’s actions in some grotesque way.
I suspect the locals in Israel decided to go off the reservation with tacit approval some pro-Zionist higher ups in MSFT. We had a similar issue with Boston Consulting with pro-Zionist sympathisers deciding that the rules didn’t apply to them.
No, I just think that it’s definitely possible for the UN to track what is being looted. But not possible to track who the looters are, as by definition, looters are people who get away before being stopped/caught.
I do also tend to trust when people say things that don’t put themselves in the best light more than when people say things that do put themselves in a better light.
More stories like this will be coming out and the Israel will be further isolated. Plans for stopping visa-free travel for Israelis are now being discussed in Europe.
This seems like a legitimate bad apple situation. Very different from intentional starvation. I think you drawing attention to it is counter productitive.
