Yes…up to but not exceeding my monthly electric bill.
You can get a ham and cheese (2 “toppings” - even though they aren’t supposed to go on top) omelet for $9. Or, you can get build your own for $8 and get 3 “toppings”.
I’m also puzzled how they list pepper jack cheese as having 45-190 calories.
When you buy the ham & cheese you might get 4-toppings worth of ham and cheese.
But it’s priced at 5 toppings worth.
Protip, some welding shops can refill for like $5.
Haven’t done that ourselves yet, we just exchange.
This was my first thought as well.
One time, I got a coupon for a free pizza and I ordered it as a “cheese with additional toppings”. Someone in my party said I should’ve just ordered a “supreme”, but the server said that I actually did it right as I would get more through the “additional toppings” than the “pre-packaged” version.
That’s called the “hidden profit margin” . . .
I’ve noticed at Costco that the cheese pizza is listed as having more calories than the pepperoni pizza.
I was at Costco with my son yesterday and noticed the same thing. Are you my son???
Father!!!
Is your name Luke???
I know, I know, HFBB
The cheese pizza has quite a generous portion of cheese and also costs the same as the pepperoni pizza. I assume it’s really “extra cheese” and has enough more cheese than the pepperoni pizza that the calories from the higher amount of cheese exceeds the calories from the pepperoni.
That said, I don’t like pepperoni so I’ve never ordered it and can’t say for sure that it’s got less cheese than the cheese pizza.
Yeah, I figured that after seeing it, but it surprised me. I had alway considered a cheese pizza to be a pepperoni-less pepperoni pizza. I hadn’t considered that it might be a pepperoni-less pepperoni pizza with extra cheese.
It’s definitely a different pizza at some places, like Donato’s. The cheese has more herbs than a pepperoni without the pepperoni, so I’ll often just pick off pepperoni when I’m in the mood for cheese.
I noticed that a coupla weeks ago, too.
(Apparently that news article was reporting on this from CNN, which did not refer to a majority)
https://web.archive.org/web/20050913070431/http://www.cnn.com/2005/EDUCATION/08/17/school.subjects.ap/index.html
The CNN article did say
Yeah, that’s old. Was posted on AO.
But cringeworthy nonetheless.
Maybe only 7 in 10 Americans had the correct ID in order to register for the survey so the 4 in 10 was the majority of those that could register
And they say in the article it’s ALMOST four in ten adults, so 3X% was considered a majority.
So, I ruined our oven mitts taking a burning rib roast off the grill. Looking at Williams-Sonoma web site: one mitt is on sale for $9.99, but if you want the set of two, it’ll cost $28.95. So…
Buy two individually and ask to return the set?
