Sushi made with cooked fish is perfectly fine. Delightful, even.
But any kind of animal, be it land-based or aquatic, should be cooked before it is eaten. No steak tartare, no seared ahi, no raw oysters, and no sushi/sashimi made with raw fish.

No addiction shaming!
God would’ve made walking cooked steak if this was the case.
I’ve long had a strong distaste for tuna. I remember anticipating a nice meal when I once ordered ahi, not realizing it was tuna. It was a struggle to choke it down. (Yeah, yeah, TWSS, out of context sig line.)
I was at a shindig hosted at the restaurant of a chef I’ve seen on Food Network. One of the things being served was fine, sushi grade tuna. Naturally, some people in my group were not thrilled by that, so I got to eat their portions!!! That was a good night!!!

We’ve got the CD and listen to it in the car fairly often.
No one can say cooked salmon or tuna taste better than raw.
And before you say “I can say it”, you’re WRONG
I might be wrong, but I still can say it…
girl have you had fully cooked tuna? shit tastes worse than well done steak.
I didn’t say I agree with the statement, just that I can say it.
Yup, your wrong.
I agree
Tell ya what: if we’re ever together at a sushi joint, I will get the sushi/sashimi and you can order some cooked stuff.

I’m not really a fan of any tuna, TBH, but if I was starving and had raw tuna and a fire, I would cook the tuna before eating it.
Yep, this works. I have friends who are big fans of the raw stuff. We go to sushi restaurants together and I get a California roll or a tempura shrimp roll or something with some combination of cooked shrimp and/or crab and veggies and I am quite happy.
Friend(s) get whatever weird stuff they are into and are quite happy.
It works just fine.
I will say that any overcooked fish is pretty bad. Fish should be flaky and moist.
Not chewy… which is what both overcooked and undercooked fish is. Overcooked fish is dry and chewy while undercooked fish (definitionally including raw fish) is moist and chewy.
Any kind of chewy is bad.
Twig and I will be too busy eating a pan of brownies.
Mmmm, brownies!!! That’s what you want to be chewy. Nice edge pieces. Especially the corner pieces. And I get them all to myself and JFG will take all the boring center pieces.
Sushi with Breadmaker where I eat the cooked stuff and she eats raw, followed by brownies with JFG where he takes the center brownies and I can get the outside pieces.
I do not want to lose this deal!!!
i do that too. not with whoppers - they are terrible. but good candy store malted milk balls.
I like brownies too!!! I go both ways: crunchy and soft!!!
