ICE, ICE baby (and CBP stuff too)

At the brewery i am at right now.

As you point out, he probably didn’t know. This appears to be the video from the shooter’s cell phone.

All he knew from these few seconds is that these two women were together and the one outside the car was pretty assertive.

Did she go all Karen on them, ask for the manager?

I saw video of spouse out of the car? Maybe she had the Birkenstocks on.

Anywho, that new info increased P(lesbian), what, to 30%?

Not surprising in Seattle!

True. Nearly everywhere we went had one up.
Also saw some Suck Trucks.

Yeah, I don’t know if that video really says much about Ross’s attitude toward women.

I couldn’t help linking it because it showed something about the interaction a few seconds before the shots. It’s amazing how fast common trash talk turned into a gunshot.

ICE seems to be using “we’ve had to open fire a lot of times” as justification for why they need to open fire. Now I’m interested about the 12 other incidents where ICE opened fire but failed to kill their target.

Were these more incidents where ICE shot at citizens? How many people could have been killed?

Were these shootings a result of us putting people with <50 days of training into the field with guns? Could better training have avoided these shootings?

Yes. Not just what is taught but the tone and messaging of the training is very important to illicit outcomes you desire. For example, a regular message in law enforcement training is “the most important thing is everyone goes home safe at the end of the shift.” That is a good message if it is combined with a message of defensive extraction and deescalation. Without those two things it increases the risk of an officer seeing things that are not threats as threats, such as a child’s toy or a cellphone in a pocket, or a women not immediately submitting.

I think you could also emphasize the “everyone” includes the people they have been asked to serve.

Here’s the article HuffPost references:

they will get a text if dear leader is unwell. other than that…

I posted an article a week or two ago, I think in this thread, where ICE to as claiming they were being rammed, but outside video suggests that the more likely issue was erratic driving by ICE where they just ignored traffic laws in order to do very dramatic take downs and were creating headaches for drivers sharing the road with them.

Especially in the Civil Rights division, which has already had mass resignations.

The problem with promotions

In addition to the 4 Civil Rights criminal division attorneys who resigned, 6 MN US attorney’s office prosecutors have resigned, apparently because the DOJ asked them to investigate Good and her wife instead of the shooter.
