Sounds like this is something that crosses administrations. However, the Democrats should absolutely run against the surveillance state of the Trump administration and draw the parallels to the patriot act and how rights are being ceded over to the government because of a boogeyman. Just straight up fabricate whatever you want to accuse Republicans of in this area and let them try to explain and do the back peddling.

An investigative reporter in CT spent a week in immigration court.

They used to be referred to as an immigration judge

That advert reminded me a bit of this book I read in high school:

DOJ: Yeah, it was Noem’s call to ignore the judge’s order, but we’re going to claim it was totally ok for her to do so.

It seems that the next step is the judge sees Noem in court. IANAL, but that seems like contempt.

Probably. Trump will certainly pardon any of his appointees that break federal law in pursuit of his agenda.

ain’t nobody paying $100usd for a day pass to American parks.

When I visited Yellowstone, I was surprised at the low price. I’d rather go to Yellowstone than a theme park.

I saw plenty of people who weren’t speaking English. I think about their travel expense and thought that park admission was trivial as a share of their vacation budgets.

I mentioned this to a relative who works there. She said the staff would be happy to raise admission IF they could use the money for upgrades, repairs, more staff during busy times, and general maintenance.

The article I saw said $250 for an annual pass. So if you plan to spend 3 or more days the annual pass becomes the right choice.

If Biden had proposed this I would have agreed. But, with Trump, it’s just part of his anti-foreigner policy.
