I want to buy something. I need ideas and reasons. $500 budget.
If someone offered me a choice for any gift of $500, I would select a pair of AirPods Max for 499.99, in blue just to be whimsical.
Reasons: Headphones are useful for TV and ipad use. The AirPod Max’s are pretty expensive, so that makes them kind of exclusive. ( You can get a very good pair of Bose noise cancellers for half that amount)

Not currently a fan of earbuds. I did buy a cheapo pair as I never had anything wireless, so maybe if they catch on it will be on the list in the future.

I spent $25 on carbide reciprocating saw blades today. One is for pruning trees. The other is a general purpose demo blade. If you had to spend all $500, you could do that 20 times. Or hire me for some consulting.
AirPods Max are not earbuds. They are over the ear headphones.

Those look pretty cool, but I try to avoid the “Apple fanboy” look. I think people around here might stare at me (yes, I am including those in my house).

Fairway wood - that is getting warmer. My dad gifted me his old set of irons/fairway woods, so I want to get a few rounds out of them before deciding what I might need to upgrade. A new putter might be nice…
Bought a couple of days ago but received today: a new Chromebook.
My wife retired last month. Now that she’s home more, we have both been more interested in using the 1 Chromebook we had. They are cheap, so I decided to get another. I was leaning towards a smaller 2 in 1 type format, where my wife expressed a preference for the larger screen and bigger keyboard of the one we have now. I said fine, you can use that one if it suits your preferences.
Now that it’s here: super fast, much better screen resolution/brightness, flexible usage,… she loves it more than the old one. We’ll be sharing both, which is fine by me.

GOAT is a sneaker reseller site. The Nike Dunk is an 80’s basketball shoe. The SB is for Skate Board and is the skate board version of the Nike Dunk. These are the most difficult Nike’s to get your hands on. Here are some recent releases.
