I am going to buy this (these) today and reasons why

Oh, and a kilo of Luxardo cherries. It was only $2 more than two 400g jars. My wife loves these but rations them pretty hard, now she can maybe even bake with them. Which might be a win for me.

I just used some of the 20 year last night on a bowl of fancy vanilla ice cream. I was thinking I’m getting a little low…

I’ve only ever had the 12YO, we are in uncharted territory here.

How long do these keep in the fridge? Or are you going through them quickly enough that it’s not a concern?

Yeah, that is a lot of old fashioneds.

My wife had the fist jar for almost a year and they were fine.

She puts them in drinks, in oatmeal, and she has baked with them very sparingly. Now she can maybe be a little more liberal with the baking.

And I may, occasionally, have one.

Brita jug. 'Cause I need one.

Might be getting a little too personal

Grimacing, haven’t pulled the trigger yet…but I need a GPU and more RAM for my CRM/database computer running in the basement. My dev is starting to implement some AI stuff and the machine doesn’t have enough ram, and no gpu.
The gpu level that I want is like $3-4k, jeepers. and the ram is like $600. this is stupid.

Drain stoppers for the kitchen. When I got home, I discovered they’re the wrong size. Le sigh.

ETA: Went back to Canadian Tire and exchanged for the right ones!!

A new set of tires and tire pressure sensors.

Cabin air filters for the Tesla, after almost three years this is the first maintenance I’ve done. Well, I guess I’ve added washer fluid a couple of times.

And now it’s installed!
Looks good, with cobalt blue glass. Will take pic next time it is used at night. Yes, we can go outside at night, in December! The fire pit will keep us warm. Might be down to 50 F tonight.

I can go outside too.

And have a real fire.

late to the party, but yesterday night I had to buy a microwave.

last one just quit working. The tray spun, the light turned on, but the mashed potatoes just stayed room temperature  It was manufactured in 2005, so probably about time anyway.

I expect this one to last half that long. They just don’t make 'em like they used to. I’ll likely be out of this house by then anyway, so it won’t be my problem any more.

Handle came off ours, which is above the stove/oven. Not sure how to fix, since some of the pieces of the handle are still inside the door, which means making a mess of the door. It is probably 15 years old.

This happened to our microwave(also above oven). I think it’s 30 years old. We found a replacement handle on Amazon and hubby just unscrewed the broken parts and put in new one.
