Any water based stains?
No, but I can’t imagine you’d have issues unless they have some kind of large particles. Even then you can buy a nozzle with a larger diameter. The airless guns put a few thousand PSI in the line, they are basically pressure washers with a smaller nozzle.
That volume of paint that ends up on the hose is pretty minimal, right? I guess no different than what ends up coating the inside of a jug. I’m leaning towards the one you recommended after some YouTube videos.
How much will i need to cover things off in my garage ? I can easily hang some plastic on a wall and the back of a garage door as well as cover the floor to paint something in a corner in a 10x10 area. That feels like it should be sufficient.
There are three whites: Ceiling. Walls and trim/kitchen cabinets same shade, different finishes.
You do get some paint accumulating on the hose. You start with a full gallon, by the time you’re done, and the paint can is empty, the paint dries as the level falls over time, if that makes sense. If it’s latex, then you can peel it off once it gets thick, or you can replace the hose.
Regarding overspray, you do get a lot of it. I’d say something like 10x10 should suffice - the real problem is overspray hitting something very quickly, while the paint is wet. You’ll get overspray all over, but after it lingers in the air for just a few seconds it won’t be wet, and you can sweep it up. I painted my shutters outside, we set up two tables and I put a 12x12 sheet of plastic down and we didn’t have any issues, fwiw.
If you’re painting indoors, I’d recommend opening the garage door at least once you’ve sprayed and it’s had a few minutes to dry. And you might set up a fan or two with a furnace filter taped to it, to filter out some of the particulates.
My main concern is really that distance the paint could drift and attach to something I wouldn’t want it to. The cars are easy enough to move, but things like bikes, or the garage cabinets that are 15-25 feet away depending on the corner I choose for spraying. Guess it should go mostly down to the floor if nothing is blowing around the room. I could keep the garage door partially open with a fan to draw out some air.
We set up a tent using poly sheeting hanging from the rafters in the unfinished basement for spraying with the Wagner. Didn’t close off the gaps in the beams and didn’t notice any going out through those holes, but nothing of value was around, and don’t know if the airless will give significantly finer spray (assume it would). If the cars had been in the garage, we would have moved them.
Better safe than sorry, I suppose. If you have anything of value out there, you can do what SG suggested and set up a makeshift paint room with plastic sheets. Pretty cheap and easy.

Title of my sex tape!
Should be easy enough to hang some plastic from the garage door opener tracks. Depending on the weather, I could also put this on the door itself while it is up.
I need a full mattress. I was thinking the Member’s Mark Memory Foam, Sam’s Club, brand would work ($250 with pretty good reviews). It’d be used only for the few guests that may pop in and to fill the room with some furniture.
I remember the days of trying to find a decent mattress, it being a complete shell game, and forking out 2000 for one.
now, a 250 memory foam is 10x better then any of the old school mattresses.
Do you have a Costco membership? We got a mattress for our guest room there, I think it’s a Sealy maybe? I slept on it to test it out and it’s pretty nice, I think it was around $300 for a full.
So about that Taylor..nope, never bought it. The $100 FB bargain kept me distracted, and having a smaller scale guitar now, I had no need to consider the GS Mini. A while back I joined an Alvarez and Yairi (Alvarez’ premium line, handmade in Japan) FB group and everyone is always raving over Yairi (no real surprise there) guitars…so I started contemplating what I would keep an eye out for on FB if one were to pop up. The WY1 is what I settled on. Cedar top, folk (smaller) size. There was a Koa top WY! on FB that I thought about, Koa wood looks beautiful, but if I am going to shell out real money, I need to go for what will make me want to play.
Searched this morning, not expecting much, and couldn’t believe it. $2199 MSRP, on sale for $1375 (early black Friday deal). TAKE MY CC NOW.
My Shark cordless vacuum I used to clean my car is about toast, the battery only goes 3-4 minutes in a charge. Got a DeWalt today, kind of expensive, but I already have a bunch of batteries that live in the garage and are always charged, so it should work well.
Burner element for fire pit.
I have a guy over putting in a new gas line to it. Old line was teed off from the pool heater line, but didn’t know that until digging under pavers. When new pool heater line was installed (per code), old line was abandoned.
My wife has been on a caprese salad kick lately, we are out of vinegar. Got her some of the 20 year old stuff from True Balsamic, and some of the cheaper 5 year old stuff to use more liberally in other recipes.
