Ah, I now see he previously had unpaid taxes and only recently paid them, which could still be illegal but usually is treated favorably given the repayment.
I can’t find anything about money laundering, gave it an honest attempt.

It would show that kids of Democrats don’t get quite the same protections from prosecution as kids from Republicans. But I’m with Vjvj, I’m unlikely to vote for Hunter Biden for any elected office.

I’m okay with voting for Joe and his influence peddling family. I let Hunter hold 10% of my vote for the big guy. And let’s be clear: Hunter’s legal advice is highly valued. He’s paid more than most corporate counsels I know, so his advice must be good.

I’m genuinely out of the know but has Hunter been appointed to any position of power in the US government since Biden won the election? I’d certainly count it as a black mark if so, although I suppose there is precedent for it already.

And anyway, if you’ve been listening to Fox and, especially, Tucker Carlson, you’d also hear that Joe Biden himself hasn’t been appointed to any position of power in the US government. With Joe Biden not behind the government, it wouldn’t make the slightest sense for Hunter to get a position of power.

This stuff never received much attention at all, and there are plenty of Trump administration decisions that play into the timing of Kushner business activities. And on top of that you have the Donald’s friendly approach to MBS and glossing over of the Khashoggi assassination.
Is it easy for you to skip over that stuff and into concern over a laptop containing a few porn videos and emails that are selectively released to make HB look as bad as possible?

I didn’t like that at the time, still don’t. But no one ever said Kushner wasn’t actually decent at his job. Hunter is a known drug addict and purveyor of prostitutes who was given millions in assets to handle and a board of director job that paid mid-high 6 figures MONTHLY.
Kushner was a lead in the Abraham Accords. Not bad results. HB has accomplished what exactly? Other than selling his artwork for WAY above normal prices and sleeping with his brother’s widow?

I’ll use small words where I can to help you understand this.
No, I am not okay with corruption.
I never even implied that HB was directly employed by the current administration.
What I was pointing out is that HB has shown many times that he is not a person to be trusted with responsibilities. He is constantly being given large amounts of money to do jobs that should take a lot that trust? Why? It’s not for official results, so what exactly is he selling? It looks a lot like he is selling access to his father. That would be corruption. See 2nd sentence of post.

Sounds like he is selling a chance of access to his father, and not really delivering on that. Is there a real crime there? It probably depends on many things that aren’t very clear and certainly with the FBI investigating. Does Joe Biden realize his kid is a bit of an opportunist dipshit? I am sure he is well aware. Hunter is 52 and making his own choices, and Joe seems to be staying out of it. I don’t think anyone should be expecting Joe to throw him under the bus and disown Hunter like Republicans would like. Hell, Biden has hardly said anything bad about Trump, because Joe is a decent person.
