It can now be dropped with the conspiracy theorists saying that they (House Committee) found a smoking gun which prompted Joe to drop out of the race. Now they don’t have to bring it to light since it accomplished the goal.

In that case, I must assume that Republicans don’t care about national security or about preventing the President from selling favors for personal profit.
Of course, that latter part can now be presumed to be an official act that can’t be prosecuted and virtually unchallengeable as being anything else.
I’ve seen an explosion of anonymous online “Democrats who were excited to vote for Joe Biden” now complaining “Kamala has a weird witch cackle and I don’t think I can vote for her, by the way the DNC is just undemocratically installing her, also she’s a cop, ACAB.”
I have seen none of that, partly because I block troll accounts. People that I do see on my socials are crazy excited.
Considering who they’re running, that seems a safe bet.

If Biden is a traitor to America as they say, it’s entirely negligent for these Republicans to go silent just because Biden isn’t running for President. The GOP does want to root out corruption, right?
This impeachment and subsequent criminal felony trial will be a huge stain on the corrupt Democrats, probably clinching a red wave in this election and the next couple. The GOP has absolutely no reason not to continue this investigation given the piles of smoking-gun evidence they haven’t shown us yet.

The GOP absolutely has reasons to not continue or seriously pursue this investigation:
- It would help Trump who is almost universally reviled in DC.

CSPAN still believes the big guy was complicit in enriching Hunter Biden, and the committee has evidence but they don’t like Trump and would rather see Kamala get elected.
So the DC GOP wont chase after Hunter anymore because they hate Trump?
