Hunter Biden Investigation

Of course not. How did so much Russian collusion misinformation get pushed through mainstream media? Alfa bank? Michael Cohen being in Prague in August? Trump instructing Cohen to lie to Congress? Where was the letter from the intelligence agencies/employees then? Is it possible that the intelligence agencies/employees were actually a part of this particular misinformation campaign?

It’s a little silly to suggest that i don’t want to discuss it with you in this forum because i think my position is weak.

I’ve always considered NYP to be somewhere between news and National Enquirer. Usually their stories have some truth or at least plausible deniability. Occasionally they get something right. So does National Enquirer though, every now and then.

Sen. Chuck Grassley says whistblowers (plural) claim the FBI in 2020 falsely labeled the laptop as disinformation in order to shut down their investigation into Hunter’s illegal financial dealings (likely related to Foreign Agents Registration Act of 1938):

First, it’s been alleged that the FBI developed information in 2020 about Hunter Biden’s criminal financial and related activity. It is further alleged that in August 2020, FBI Supervisory Intelligence Analyst Brian Auten opened an assessment which was used by a FBI Headquarters(“FBI HQ”) team to improperly discredit negative Hunter Biden information as disinformation and caused investigative activity to cease. Based on allegations, verified and verifiable derogatory information on Hunter Biden was falsely labeled as disinformation.

The aforementioned allegations put a finer point on concerns that I have raised for many years about political considerations infecting the decision-making process at the Justice Department and FBI. If these allegations are true and accurate, the Justice Department and FBI are – and have been – institutionally corrupted to their very core to the point in which the United States Congress and the American people will have no confidence in the equal application of the law.

When you’re a Democrat, they let you do it. You can do anything!

Whatevs. Reading that, so far all I get is that Grassley says some people say…

Heresy, amirite?

I can never remember, are we supposed to believe whistleblowers, or ignore them?

Hunter biden is being invesigated by the feds.

Republicans need to accept that the laptop was horribly mishandled by the Trump team. The shop owner makes a copy of the hard drive, who gives the copy to trumps personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani, who shops around a few emails to get a tabloid newspaper to run a story. That’s not a flow of information that is going to inspire a lot of credibility, even ignoring the last two years of bullshit that Trump and Giuliani have produced on a regular basis.

The laptop is just an overhyped turd.

You mean just like the “Russian collusion” fairy tale - it’s all one big hoax?

Yeah, ignoring the documented cases of obstruction in the mueller report as well as the numerous indictments and pardons surrounding the Trump campaign, they are almost exactly the same thing.

If they’re someone like the fat foreign colonel then you believe them. It depends on whether you want to believe what they’re whistleblowing.

Are you suggesting that Giuliani and others planted fake information on the laptop? That seems made up, like blatant liberal misinformation.

Also, Grassley’s big claim in the letter is that the drive contains verified … “derogatory information on Hunter”. Derogatory information? Duh. Drug addict? Porn? Used his dad’s name for his own gain? Yeah, we all knew that years ago.

I stand firm in my conviction that I will never vote for Hunter Biden.

You forgot where Hunter is/was acting illegally as an unregistered foreign agent. This constitutes conspiracy to defraud the US, just like Manafort was charged with (but not Podesta group for failing to report the exact same lobbying). Chuck Grassley is correct that there cannot be confidence in equal application of the law.

I stand firm in my conviction that I will never vote for Paul Managort but this is obviously irrelevant flailing by liberals in denial. Enforcement of laws doesn’t apply only to people we vote for. What a dumb, embarrassing implication to make lol

If Hunter Biden is guilty of the same thing as Manafotre he should be prosecuted.

No, you forgot that I said he should be prosecuted for any crimes he’s committed.

Lock him up.

If only the FBI agreed. Oh well!

lol

It is fact that Russia conducted a multi-prong interference in the 2016 election to get Trump elected and that Trump and his campaign knew this and welcomed it. They also knew ahead of time about the DNC hack/leak conducted by Russia and didn’t alert officials as would have been proper, because it benefitted them. It’s also fact that Trump fired Comey and told Russian officials that firing Comey took “great pressure off [Trump]”. However the official conclusion was there was insufficient evidence to indict Trump. I believe the general vibe was, “He wanted to collude but was too inept, so other parties did it for him.” However, a number of his close ties have been taken down.

The “russia-gate hoax” was always more of a “why did that dipshit fire comey?” hoax… where Trump probably could have gotten away with a lot more if he wasn’t a complete dumbass about it.
