It’s my WFH day and my morning is free so I can play catch up.

I bit the bullet and bought the Apple Watch I’ve been eyeing for 6 months and I really really like it.

I slept until 6 am (after brief wake up at 4) with no medication!

I did not play Wordle nor its variants this morning. I might play later if I feel like it. A game does not control me. (Not suggesting it controls others, but I am weirdly compulsive about these things.)

I planted some grass seed 2.5 weeks ago, we had some grass torn up last fall to replace a water main. Yesterday I could see some really fine shoots coming up, and then we got heavy rains last night and BAM, this morning it looks like it’s really taking off.

We may not get it back to 100% this year but at least it seems we won’t have big bare patches for much longer.

Today I get to enjoy picking off the dried-oil/blood scabs, which is always fun as well. Sometimes there’s some residual stuff that you can squeeze out of there, but that doesn’t appear to be the case today.

I live a mile from the Univ of KS, so even though I’m not super into sportsball, we went downtown to watch the game last night. We were there until 1AM and it was really just getting started, guessing it didn’t die down until a few hours ago. Really fun to see all the energy. I read this morning that the crowd was about 70k, and there were three arrests, so it was a pretty well-behaved mob.
