confirmed ABC News from 2021, except $21,000 raised, and no mention of company sending replacement cards

Pisses me off, though. Take your dog to the vet and get what used to be a standard vaccination for a puppy. I’m guessing the puppy isn’t vaccinated against rabies, either, then.

Agree, with the caveat that the puppy might have had Parvo before they got it or it woas exposed before it was old enough to have completed the vaccine series.

At my first company, my boss said, "this company invests in 20% junk bonds and 90% junk PC’s. This was when you had IBM PC’s and IBM Compatible PC’s which weren’t always that compatible.

Eventually, I was given the one IBM 386 PC in the company because of the work I was doing. Modeling on home grown modeling software before any of the consulting firms had introduced their own modeling software.

Learned that about parvo from Mrs G, whose family lost a couple of dogs to parvo during her childhood. They can get it before vaccine can be given.

I am assuming that @Echo has had all her shots. :syringe:

We are finally getting a good, steady rain out here!!! My grass has been brown and crunchy the last few weeks.

There are 19 Fridays left in 2025, and thanks to me not using nearly enough PTO yet this year, I’m only scheduled to work 6 of them.

I think I’m down to one final model to run for board slides. Then triple check all of our math and assumptions, I’m sure there will be some follow up questions but I should be pencils down today. And then I’m going to join the drink order thread in the lounge.

This my favorite song about Fridays -

2 whole lobsters and a lobster roll later…with a glass of bubbly.

Very satisfied. Burger and Lobster is a solid restaurant for casual business lunches.

Much prefer having business lunches every 3 months or so as you can actually enjoy it. Having them every month always gets people pushing to limit the cost per head (they do this in the very large office lunches at Christmas which I can understand as you always have to pre-order due to group size).

That would sate me also.

Our local grocer is pretty amazing. I usually have a couple of meals in mind but I’m always prepared to wing it.

Today I found Caesar salad in the bag for $2. Then I saw potatoes, 10lb for $2. Is a steak dinner going to be an option? Why yes, whole beef tenderloin is $12/lb. So under $70 with tax for two steak dinners for the fam.

They just have these random unadvertised sales. Asparagus for $1, a pint of blueberries for $1.50, a 12 pack of Blue Moon for $5.

That would be an extremely good price near Philadelphia. Admittedly somewhat of a gimmick, our local grocery has 3 pints for $1.77 each if you buy 3, or multiple of 3, but $3.99/pint for 1 or 2. Some other chain groceries currently $2.99. Anything under $2.49 is a good price.

I’ve also seen $1.88, limit 1, with a $25 purchase. And occasionally $1.99 or $2.25 without restrictions.

The 10-day forecast is looking pretty great.

Ours had cooler temps with monsoons. Hopefully that will help with the wild fires around. The weatherman suggested we might be done with 90+ temps for the year.

Quick search found a replacement latch for my broken one on my microwave. Youtube had a video that showed how to replace it and I was able to quickly remove the old broken one and as soon as the new one arrives tomorrow, I will be able to quickly replace it and everyone will be happy they can use the microwave again and it was only about $20.

Happy microwave thoughts for you is annoyed microwave thoughts for me.
We have a built in microwave. The LED light flickers when it’s on. I’ve no idea how to replace the bulb. You’d think (well, or I would) that it’s a screw or two inside the unit, drop out a plate, replace bulb. Apparently not. Looks like I have to uninstall the unit out of the cabinet.
Well, uninstalling from the cabinet is option 1. Option 2 is learn to live with a flickering LED light in the microwave. Currently leaning hard into option 2.
