We had dinner tonight at a local Mexican place I have driven by dozens of times. Good food, music at a respectable volume - and deep fried ice cream!!!
@NerdAlert Your Indian takeout sounds awesome!!!
That’s the national dish of England!
I like tikka masala. Putting this on the grilling ideas list.
Indeed, I first tried it when I lived in London, and fell in love with it.

This rings particularly true for my dog. The thing she loves the most is doing things with her people. Not that she doesn’t have some treat/food/toy motivation too, but what she most wants is to go do something with you. Doesn’t really matter what, and she’s a bit nervous about things in general so it’s a bit unexpected that she chooses to go into situations that make her anxious.
I just had a good lol moment. I was at my son’s place he was playing call of duty or something, with a username of type ii diabetes.
that way when he shoots someone in the game it says ‘you were killed by…’.
Should use ‘dysentery’ as a shout-out to all the old Oregon Trail players.
Celebrating my 29th anniversary early today with my best friend from graduate school (my wife) so I can spend three days touring DC and Philly with my best friend from high school before five days playing bridge in a national championship (in Philly) with my best friend from Des Moines
My spouse got some ticks on her in the yard recently, so she’s become hyper about getting rid of them and has, among other things, been pouring a bunch of 30% vinegar outside the house. That makes the whole area around the house stink, which I guess is the point, but it smells pretty bad.
Last night I went on the side of the house by my neighbor’s house and it actually smelled pretty good. The neighbor had apparenty poured a bunch of a light-smelling perfume between the houses.
Hope she knows vinegar kills plants too
Getting vacation off to a bang, having a Kona beer with lunch at the airport.
