I got my check for unclaimed property - $14.
I am about 7 hours in to making chicken stock. Gonna let it go another couple of hours and then off to the garage to cool it down.
FYI I read recently that there’s little difference after 2 hours. Simmer for two hours, strain, reduce, and done.
I tried it that way last time and it was good.
But anyway, mmmmm homemade chicken stock. Now I want some.
You get me one of those stick vacuums and I would give you some of my chicken stock in return!!!
I cooked dinner tonight for guests and I killed it. Chicken piccata.
I went to McD today and discovered the white straws with the red and yellow stripe have returned. The clear ones they’d been using lately were awful.

That’s the generally accepted way. Just sayin’, I read an article from a chef who said you get 99% of the way there in two hours. And the last batch I did, 2 hours, and it was fine.
Been getting my spouse their tea in bed for decades now. I consider my self lucky to be able to do that, it’s the least I can do frankly.

It’s about a 93 year old lady who enters powerlifting tournaments.
Our 50th wedding anniversary is fast approaching so I have been scanning photos from 50+ years ago as part of the commemoration. Taking the liberty of sharing two of my favourites as I count GoActuary as one of my “communities” for sharing personal stuff.
Sorry for the grainy appearance.
It’s bugged me since high school that I couldn’t quite visualize what a solid with some base and all square cross sections from those integration problems would look like.
I asked one of my calculus students to design and 3D print one.
Just in time because I’m planning on teaching that lesson on Thursday.
