Happy Thoughts

I convocated this week. SMRT. Really cool, I graduated with a couple of my buddies from my fishing with nerds misadventures. The only slip-up, the school allowed a change from masculine ‘masters’ degree to I forget what, but a non-gendered term. Not that I see a masters degree as gendered, but I thought that’d be unique. I just couldn’t get the form to submit to make the request.
Anyway, we were driving home and I thanked my spouse for putting up with it for all these years. Putting up with the honey-do list getting pushed back (she’s always got a big list and I’m generally diligant about keeping it reduced to zero), not getting the lawn cut etc. Told her I missed learning though. Sitting on the couch watching tv at night is not my gig. Been doing it for a few months, and my brain is getting smooth.

My spouse’s response? well, if you like it, keep at it. Really? Permission to keep at this stuff? Awesome. I just dusted of my life con text, gonna see if I can figure it out for the october sitting.

Yer gonna hafta cover up yer tattoo when it comes time for the life cons exam. Just sayin’ as a colleague…

I paid $1.90 to use the Lexus lanes and avoided a miles long traffic jam as a result (car fire+ multiple stalls in the backup). Money well spent!

We’re collegues? Cool!
I likely will cover it up if I end up writing the exam. But it’s kinda funny to think about. Like, I walk in with tape over it or something and now they want me to uncover it to make sure I’m not cheating. Eh, maybe I’ll just wear a long sleeved shirt.

It is a thing, which you access through the app. While I don’t mind walking in the store, I do mind waiting in a long line. I don’t know if there are any restrictions as today was the first time I tried it.

16 days ago i bought an open box frame TV. in fact it had no box. but we were busy and never checked it out. I looked at it today and realized “drat! the return window closed.” so we opened it and plugged it in and…damn thing is sweet!

Huge relief and mrs f was happy, so i was more than happy.

helped TWO painted turtles get back on the sidewalk and under the fence to re-enter the nature center grounds. they were out scrambling on the side of the road. they were both within a quarter mile of each other on the same trip home. i think our heavy rains has them confused

Happy Thought: I have one of those pill organizers where you put your daily pills when you’re traveling. The seven daily boxes can separate from the larger thing so you can throw a single day in your purse / pocket without taking the whole thing.

Well Sunday had been missing for months… since before I moved out of the house that STBX and I shared. I feared it was gone forever, but last night I unearthed it!

Annoyed Thought: Now Saturday is missing.

The good news is that I know I had Saturday recently. It’s likely not too far buried.

And I bought a second one since many trips are longer than 7 days anyway, so the loss of 1 day is no biggie when I’m now working with 14 total (well… 13 until I find the original Saturday).

Took Hip_tiger_wife out for steak last night. Quick stop first at Walmart, wallet was empty of cash so I took the $100 quick cash offered at checkout. The steakhouse credit card machine was down, server was the only one left (after 8), both of us grateful that I could pay our bill in cash. (Folks at the next table were fussing about how they were going to get some cash that late.)
