Who can say. Some folks on Twitter are supporting him like if there were gun toting good guys they could have stopped the shooting. Other people are calling out his thoughts and prayer post with his x-mas card.

I would really, REALLY like to think that Nick will win this bet… but… I do not have anywhere near enough confidence that he will to bet you myself.
Which is sad in and of itself, even if Nick does win the bet. Even if it’s just a gentleman’s bet for the pride of being right on the internet, I hope someone circles back and updates this thread in December.

From what I’m reading it sounds like it was maybe a trans-man who was a former student and resented the school. (Article I read mentioned the name Audrey, teacher remembered “her” as a student, but the shooter’s Facebook page used male pronouns.) I wonder what the shooter’s gripes were. I’m sure life wasn’t easy for a young person with gender dysphoria at a private Christian school 20 years ago.
Obviously that doesn’t justify murder; just curious.
